Do I need to be an expert Mahjong player to attend?
Not at all! Our retreats are designed for Mahjong players of all skill levels. While guests should already know the basics of how to play Mahjong, our retreats are focused on fun, connection, and improving your game in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

Who is this retreat for?
Mahj Squad Retreats are designed for women who love Mahjong, beautiful destinations, luxury accommodations, and meaningful experiences. Whether you’re traveling with friends or coming solo, our retreats are all about connection, relaxation, and unforgettable Mahjong moments.

Included

• Luxury accommodations at the hotel or resort listed in the itinerary

• Mahjong play, strategy sessions, and guided games

• Meals as outlined in the itinerary

• Activities and experiences included in each retreat itinerary

• All Mahjong supplies and materials needed for play

Not Included

• Airfare and airport transfers

• Additional hotel nights outside of retreat dates

• Meals or beverages not listed in the itinerary

• Spa treatments or optional add-on activities

• Travel insurance
   

What meals will be provided?
Delicious meals are included throughout the retreat as outlined in each itinerary. We do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences whenever possible—please note any dietary needs during registration.

What is single occupancy vs. double occupancy?
Single Occupancy
You’ll enjoy a private room with either a king or queen bed.
Double Occupancy
You’ll share a room with another guest. If you are traveling with a friend and would like to room together, please indicate this on your registration form.

If I fill out the registration form, am I guaranteed a spot?
Submitting a registration form does not automatically guarantee a reservation. Retreat spots are limited and offered based on availability and room package selection.

When are payments due?
A 50% deposit is due upon registration, with the remaining balance due approximately 4–6 months prior to the retreat. Final payment dates will be communicated after registration.

What are the cancellation terms?
All payments are non-refundable. If you need to cancel, we will do our best to fill your spot. If we are able to do so, we will refund 80% of the payments made.
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unexpected changes or emergencies.

What age is this retreat designed for?
Our retreats are designed for adult women of all ages who love Mahjong, travel, and connecting with new friends.

What should I bring?
Bring your favorite getaway outfits, comfortable shoes, pool or hot tub attire, and anything you’d like for downtime or relaxing between games. A detailed packing list will be shared prior to the trip! 

Which card will we be playing with?
Organized Mahjong play and retreat events will be played using The Big Card. Guests are also welcome to play using their NMJL card during casual or leisure play throughout the trip.
